Individual Membership

Membership is open to anyone interested or active in applying the practices of action learning and action research within community and organisational contexts.

Our members come from a wide variety of disciplines, communities, professions and interests, and include facilitators, community workers, teachers, social workers, nurses, trainers, volunteers, carers, agricultural extension officers, architects, academics, environmentalists, managers, Indigenous community members, IT professionals, self help group members and students.

Membership gives you many benefits including online access to a) the Members List, including profiles of people you might like to connect with, b) online fora c) other publications and conferences, at discounted rates. You also receive the ALAR journal as part of your subscription. Click ALARA Subscription to pay online. Once you are paid up, you can build your profile in the Member list, and search for members with related interests.

Affiliate and Associate Organisation Membership

ALARA makes connections between people and activities in all the strands, streams and variants associated with our paradigm - including action learning, action research, process management, collaborative inquiry facilitation, systems thinking, organisational learning/development, etc.; and who are working in any kind of organisational, community, workplace or other practice setting; and at all levels. To this end we invite organisational memberships of ALARA as Affiliates or as Associates.
